Statement of Deputy Minister of Local Government Unity and Culture Joyce Chitsulo on commencement of Holy Month of Ramadan
On behalf of the people of Mwanza West constituency, I am deeply grateful to the almighty Allah for granting us the grace to cherish the commencement of this holy month of Ramadan, a cornerstone of the Islamic faith.
It is a month marked by intense devotion and commitment to the principles of love, compassion, sacrifice and devotion to duty. It is a time for deep reflection, renewed commitment to Allah and generosity toward humanity.
It is a season of spiritual rejuvenation, self -discipline and empathy for the less fortunate. I urge all the Muslim to observe this month with profound lesson of piety, and selflessness that Ramadan embodies. Let us use this time to strengthen our bonds with God and one another, fostering unity and peace in our societies.
Lastly, I call upon all Malawians to join hands in prayer and action for our beloved country's continued growth and development.I, therefore, extend my best wishes to all Muslims observe the Ramadan with peace, joy, spiritual renewal and introspection.
